Canadian Warmblood Announces Recipients of Mare Production Awards |
Brandon, Manitoba - The Mare Premium system was unveiled in 1997 at the National AGM in Missisauga, Ontario. It has taken 10 years since the Elite Mare award was initially announced to make the first presentations of Elite Mare and Prduction Premiums. At the National AGM held in Brandon, MB, March 31, 2007 the association was proud to honour five deserving mares and their owners. Read: Canadian Warmblood Announces First Elite Mare Awards These Production Awards were also presented at the National AGM held in Brandon, Manitoba, March 31, 2007.
Breeders Digest Volume 1 Issue 4, listed the mares (below) who received Production Awards achieved by the success of their progeny in Inspection, Riding Horse Tests, Material Classes and in Open Competition. These are all awards calculated from all records of the association. Mare owners having open competition results should submit that information to be included in calculation towards Elite Mare.
These awards were in two categories: mares scoring at least 3 points, and those scoring from 5 to 9 points. Elite Mare is 10 points or more, which can also include points earned by the mare for her own inspection and/or performance.
Legend: Numerical scores after progeny are for Inspection;
RHT = Riding Horse Test; MAT = Material Class; D = Dressage; J = Jumper
* after a progeny points number i.e: 2* please note that: not all points earned can be used as there is a maximum of 3 performance points per progeny.
We welcome submissions of photographs of featured mares.
