CWHBA FEE SCHEDULE

Effective: April 1, 2017

Depending on the member's place of residence the following rates will apply to all other services including, but not limited to, registrations, inspections, mare entries, stallion licensing and transfers. Please read and follow the directions on the appropriate forms.

  • 13% HST - NB, NL, ON Residents
  • 14% HST - PEI Residents
  • 15% HST - NS Residents
  • 5% GST - AB, BC, MB, QC, SK, NT, NU, YT Residents

Breeding Certificate Fee for non activated or foreign owned approved stallions will be effective January 1, 2016.

Membership: There is NO GST/HST on Memberships. Fee: CDN Funds

Associate Membership ( Non-owners of registered breeding stock)
   Associate Members receive e-news & are eligible for Awards Programs

Registrations for all horses born prior to January 1994 $90

Registration of foal by Entered & Approved or Licensed stallion:
   **Note: Breeding certificate fee applies if stallion not Activated for Breeding Year.

Within 12 months of foaling date, for first three foals registered (include DNA application & fee $60) $125
Within 12 months of foaling date, four to ten foals registered (include DNA application & fee $60) $100
Within 12 months of foaling date, ten or more foals registered (include DNA application & fee $60) $85
    - Late penalty - add $75; must be DNA parentage verified (include DNA application + fee $60) add $75
Registration of foal by non-entered or non-approved stallion: **Note: Breeding certificate fee applies.
Within 12 months of foaling date (include DNA application + fee $60) $250
    - Late penalty - add $75; must be DNA parentage verified (include DNA application + fee $60) add $75
Stud Book Entry: GST/HST applicable
Mares: (in order to register a foal, all mares must be Entered - a mare may be Entered without inspection, however an Annual Fee will apply to register each foal)
 Mare Inspection & Intitial Mare Entry
Two to five years old (include DNA application + fee $60) $120
Six years or over (include DNA application + fee $60) $150
10% discounted for three or more mares presented at the same mare inspection locationas of Apr 1
 Initial Mare Entry (without inspection) $90
 Annual Mare Entry (This annual fee is due for every non-inspected Entered Mare with Foal registration) $60
Stallions:
 Initial Entry fee for Approved stallions $150
 Stallion Inspection and Initial Entry - stallions aged 2 years $250
    - Payable on successful licensing, or for re-presentation at a later date if not successful $250
 Stallion Inspection and Initial Entry - stallions aged 3 years and over $500
Annual Stallion Activation:
 Stallion Annual Activation, with 'Report of Mares Bred' (Due Oct 31 each year ) $150
   - Late penalty - add $25; Stallion Annual Activation, with 'Report of Mares Bred'; after Nov. 1st add $25
Breeding Certificate: ** fee for non activated or foreign owned approved stallions is effective January 1, 2016
Breeding Certificate Fee:- **Canadian owned approved stallion not Activated in current year / per foal registration $30
Breeding Certificate Fee:- **Foreign owned approved stallion / per foal registration $50
Stallion Performance Test:
 Stallion Performance Test (Short Test) $2,700
Miscellaneous: GST/HST applicable
Offspring Evaluation and/or branding fee (ID markings no cost ) $25
DNA test (mane hair) $60
Lease Agreement $20
Duplicate Certificate (Notarized Affidavit Required) $50
Re-Issued Certificate (Owner Error or Request) $15

Transfer of ownership (membership of CWHBA not required; submit original papers with Transfer of Ownership or copy of Bill Of Sale)
