The 2012 Stallion Service Auction is gearing up! The auction is scheduled earlier in the New Year at the request of members, so start planning your strategy. Participating stallion can be identified onliine in the Stallion Directory by the asterisk after their name.
| ONLINE BREEDERS DIRECTORY |
We are asking Members to renew their Breeder Directory listing earlier this year in order that they appear in the Stallion Directory. In order to get the Directory in the hands of Members before the Stalllion Service Auction, there is a much earlier printing date. Invoices were sent out this past week, so please contact Joan at accounts to confirm your renewal or add a new listing.

The Board of Directors, and staff at CWHBA wish everyone a Merry Christmas and the best for the New Year. Thank you all for your patience in this transition year, when many of you have experienced regrettably long wait times to receive registration papers and transfers. Our staff, volunteers, and staff at CLRC have been working hard to catch up on the backlog of work. Processing times are speeding up each week.

| 2011 NATIONAL & YEAR END AWARDS |
Did your Canadian Warmblood compete in 2011? Nominations and result submissions for 2011 Year End Awards and Achievement Awards should have been received by November 30th. If you missed this deadline, please still submit results as we know the BOD and office have been so busy with getting transfers and registrations out, that awards are still to be done. In order to qualify for any award, you must be a minimum Associate Member of the Association. read more here

The 2010 WEG Special Edition Breeders Digest was in the Canadian Warmblood Booth at WEG to promote our association and sales horses. This issue will be mailed directly to members with their 2011 membership Renewal Notice so all will get to see what was sent to Kentucky.

| HANOVERIAN FOUNDATION STALLION - BRENTANO II |
The legendary Hanoverian breeding stallion Brentano II (Bolero x Glocke (Grande / Ferdinand) passed away on Wednesday night 9 June 2010 following a severe colic attack. The liver chestnut stallion could not be saved and had to be humanely put down. He was 1985 Hanoverian Licensing Champion, 1986 reserve stallion performance test winner and Hanoverian Stallion of the Year in 2003.

The Canadian Warmblood Horse Breeders Association (CWHBA) was Incorporated, under the Canadian Live Stock Pedigree Act, in 1991. The association is a corporate union of breeders for the purpose of furthering warmblood horse breeding in Canada. The purpose of the association is: to unite the breeders, owners and friends of Warmblood horses in Canada; to maintain of the Stud Book of Canadian Warmblood horses including approved stallions, mares and foals; to maintain a uniform breeding program of warmblood horses in Canada; to promote breed shows and representation in exhibitions; to provide information to breeders, owners and friends and generally encourage public understanding of the Canadian Warmblood horse. The breeding aim is to produce a well bred Warmblood horse, correct in conformation and with good performance. A horse which, on the basis of its temperament, character, and rideability is suitable for Olympic and related Equestrian sports..... Read More

Information
The CWHBA AGM and Confernece will be held at Hockley Valley Resort in Orangeville Ontario. Please join us on Saturday for some morning workshops and then a private tour of Caledon Equine Hospital. Saturday afternoon it's an interactive discussion with Top trainers from across the disciplines, giving their views on how to "effectively sell our horses in today's marketplace" and "how should we focus our future endeavours". Join us for an evening of "Red Carpet Dinner & Glamour" and a lively fun auction featuring Bill Simmons the well known equestrian auctioneer. Finish the evening with a Bonfire overlooking beautiful Hockley Valley.
The Annual General Meeting will start Sunday morning at 9am.
