Mare Inspection Guidelines

2010 Schedule TBA

Please follow the criteria as outlined on the Website for the forms that are applicable for your mare/mares. For 2009 Mare Inspections we are hosting four inspections. The Ontario Chapter thanks in advance our Inspectors and volunteers for all their hard work.

The Inspectors wanted me to impart some suggestions that will help to ensure that your mare/mares receive their highest score possible.

Please be aware that our Inspection Team are "Volunteers" and therefore unpaid. We would ask that you are respectful and remember that their goal is to aid and assist you in your breeding plans. Our Inspection Team has many years of experience and is very knowledgeable and will be happy to answer any questions.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED

Registration Papers.

Proof of Ownership. i.e. Bill of Sale or if owner at birth, papers will do.

DNA ( If DNA has been previously completed from another registry a copy needs to be attached to the inspection application. If DNA has not been completed, then we will collect a sample after the inspection and there is an extra charge for a DNA sample.)

You must be a CWHBA member in good standing for 2010. Please make sure your membership is up to date! We can add your membership to the inspection invoice but we must process your inspection and membership together. Please refer to the website for amounts.

All paperwork, with CHEQUE in the correct amount, must be in my hands TWO weeks prior to the inspection date. Please refer to the website for costs. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS! PLEASE SEND ALL APPLICATIONS TO:

Jill Stephen, Fairwind Farm, 253586 9th Line, R.R. #1, Grand Valley, Ontario, L0N 1G0, 519-928-2779

fairwind@sympatico.ca

We will attempt to carry out our planned inspections, but if numbers are low, we may have to cancel. Please encourage breeders in your area to attend to keep our numbers up.

Due to safety concerns, the Inspection Team reserves the right to refuse to inspect an animal that is deemed unruly & therefore unsafe. The decision of the Team is final. A surcharge will apply.
