Royal Prince was Reserve Champion of his 70-day Test, earning 10's for his rideability and walk, and 9's for trot, canter, and willingness to work. As a five-year-old, Royal Prince finished fourth at the World Championships for Young Horses - the highest American finish to date - and represented the US again the following year. Now under Michael Bragdell, Royal Prince has earned Michael his Bronze Medal, a Reserve Championship at Third Level for the BLM Finals, and in 2009, a Reserve Championship at Fourth Level for USDF Region 1.
Royal Prince's sire Rohdiamant was a highly successful Grand Prix dressage competitor who was short-listed for the US Olympic Team with Lisa Wilcox. Grandsire Rubinstein also competed at the Grand Prix level and is known for the excellent rideability of his offspring. Royal Prince's dam Piri Piri is by the influential Thoroughbred stallion Prince Thatch xx. Piccolino, by Prince Thatch, helped secure the Team Gold for Germany at the 2003 European Dressage Championships and placed 6th individually.
Royal Prince's offspring are showing their sire's elegance, refinement, and movement. In 2008 he was honored with the USEF Dressage Breeding Sire of the Year award based on the success of his early offspring in the show ring. Raja HTF earned a 7.66 at her studbook inspection and daughter Rhodora HTF was the 2008 Filly Champion and Young Horse Champion of Dressage at Devon. Rohan received an 80.2% at his first outing at Training Level.
